Woodland GlassHaus Autumn Wedding for Emma & Charlie

I adore Emma and Charlie and to photograph their wedding day at the beautiful Woodland Glasshaus at Bavaria Downs was a dream. I’ve known Emma since capturing her sister’s senior photos and having the chance to be apart of so many special life moments for the Dolby family has been incredibly special to me. 

My approach to capturing their wedding day incorporated a mix of film cameras with digital. I wanted to capture their playful love for each other and Emma’s deep relationships with her sister and friends.. Using flash on film created a very in the moment, modern feeling to her photos and using medium format for couples portraits on Lake Minnetonka and on the grounds for golden hour at Bavaria Downs created a timeless look and feel that will never go out of style.

Emma and Charlie booked the Woodland Glasshaus when it was still in its dream stage, before the ground had even been broken. Their wedding took place late September, just as the leaves started turning golden yellow. The light was absolutely phenomenal and their guests were absolutely delighted by the unexpected venue in the forest.
