Hello! I’m Reyna, the heart and soul behind Sea Circus Weddings. My passion for photography blossomed from witnessing the profound love my grandparents share. At 86 and 84, their enduring bond is beautifully preserved in photos throughout their lives - especially my grandmas, which have become cherished heirlooms in our family. The timeless color tones and authentic, natural emotions in their images inspire me to create heirloom photography for the couples I work with. The photos feel like a glimpse into the past, rather than overly staged moments. I love capturing celebrations as I feel like these organic moments naturally unfold so beautifully. And lets be honest, photographing couples in love surrounded by the ones that love them the most - that's just FUN! I love it! I live in a charming Tudor house in Minneapolis with my husband, our two little girls, and our cuddly cat, Goose—named after Gooseberry Falls, where we tied the knot in 2019! In my free time, you’ll often find us enjoying dance parties, embarking on camping adventures, or cuddling up with a good book. We are always planing our next adventure together and live life with sense of curiosity and a passion for learning.

I live in Minneapolis, but most of my weddings are out of state. All travel is included within my collection pricing.

I am an avid film enthusiast and love capturing weddings on both mediums. I have a collection of medium format and 35mm film cameras as well as a collection of digital cameras. If you are a film enthusiast as well, reach out about having your day covered 100% on film! For most weddings I shoot hybrid and deliver a beautiful gallery that feels like a kaleidoscope collection of beautiful film & digital photographs.

I have always been fascinated by the art of telling a story. I have been an avid reader my entire life (please share your favorite books with me!), which morphed into becoming a lifestyle blogger - developing into my passion in photography, which combines the art of both discovering the best story to be told, and capturing it in a way that evokes emotion for the viewer.
CREATOR
Much of the inspiration I pull from while creating photos comes from my background in classical ballet. The romance, movement, and attention to positioning of the human body has greatly influenced how I compose and capture my couples stories.
ADVENTURER
My parents instilled the love of travel into my brother and I from a young age. Every year, we would pack up our camper, and go on adventures for months at a time. I've been to 43 of the 50 states, and while my parents gave me the gift of exploring the USA with them, I am now venturing further into South America, Indonesia, and of course, Europe. Every one of my adventures has brought something new to the way I approach photography, and life. Next month I will be in Ireland for a two week hiking adventure!
