Basilica of St. Mary Wedding Ceremony and Machine Shop Reception
Sarah and Grant’s wedding was an elegant, rompus celebration. Sarah brought grace and romance to the day with her background as a professional ballerina and Grant kept the party alive with a beer in hand and all of his best friends closely by his side. We began capturing their wedding day at the Hewing Hotel, where they where getting ready. The 105 degree day that we were met with made it incredibly important for me to scout out the most beautiful indoor locations flooded with natural light to utilize for couples photos, as Grant and Sarah wanted to avoid the heat before their ceremony. The Hewing Hotel always delivers, and we found the most beautiful intimate spaces to capture their love in. Sarah and Grant’s ceremony at the Basilica of St. Mary’s was grand, and their party afterwards at The Machine Shop left me smiling ear to ear. I love re-living their day through these photos!

Machine Shop Venue Information
Location: 300 2nd St. SE Minneapolis, MN 55414
Machine Shop Parking: Wedding guests have access to a complimentary parking lot across the street from Machine shop. There is also ample metered parking on the streets surrounding the Machine Shop, as well as a parking ramp one block away.
Capacity: Machine Shop has space for tradition weddings with 300 guests, but can host up to 900 for cocktail style events. The space is open and offers flexibility in how it is used to create the perfect set up for your wedding vision.
Photographers Take on Venue: There is so much to fall in love with at the Machine Shop. The location is outstanding with the most iconic Minneapolis St. Anthony Main landscapes just a short walk from the venue. The venue itself has incredible lighting and a large, open space, that creates an impressionable impact when filled with beautiful florals, a couple deeply in love, and guests looking to celebrate! I always love capturing weddings at the Machine Shop, and it is certainly one of the most beautiful, industrial locations to get married in Minneapolis.
