Engagement Photos at the Desert Botanical Garden in Phoenix, Arizona

These two proved that all you need for an incredible engagement shoot is a whole lotta love for each other and some beautiful dessert sun ;) Absolutely adore these two and capturing them at the Desert Botanical Gardens - one of their favorite date destinations, filled my artistic cup.

Helpful Notes for shooting engagement photos at the Desert Botanical Gardens

The Desert Botanical Gardens asks photographers to fill out a request and pay a permit fee to use their gardens for commercial photoshoots. https://dbg.org/photoshoots/

There are no shortage of beautiful locations to shoot in the gardens! It takes about an hour and a half - two hours to walk the entire gardens, this makes for a fun adventure to have with couples, however - they should be prepared for the walk! We arrived two hours prior to the sunset and found foot traffic to be light in the park, making it easy to capture magic on the trails. The sun setting behind the cacti is absolutely gorgeous.

Address:

1201 N. GALVIN PARKWAY
PHOENIX, AZ 85008

Parking:

The Desert Botanical Garden offers a large parking lot with free parking.

Admission:

$24.95 per adult. Free admission on the second Tuesday of the month, however I wouldn’t recommend choosing this as your shoot day as the park will be quite busy!

Public Transit:

Bus I recommend taking the 56 line which brings you to the Botanical Garden Stop, a 3 minute walk from the Desert Botanical Garden View Route

Restaurants Nearby:

Inside the park, there is a beautiful restaurant called Gertrudes. I recommend staying for dinner and a drink after your shoot to make your engagement session a memorable experience!

As we got deeper into the dessert garden and further into the shoot, Tanner and Brandan felt more relaxed and the doors opened to capture artful, emotive photos.
